Party Food Ideas

I was looking at a party hosting book at Target called: "Host: A Modern Guide to Eating, Drinking, and Feeding Your Friends". It's the kind of book you'd find at a store like Anthropologie and is filled with lots of pretty pictures of ridiculous recipes that no one would ever want to eat at a party. Who the fuck wants to eat squid at a party or very slow cooked scrambled eggs? Not me. Also, I don't want to have to get a bank loan just to entertain and feed some friends. So I'm trying to come up with my own shit. Things that won't break the bank and people will actually like to eat.
