Favorite 80's Albums
1) The Wake - Here Comes Everybody
I discovered this band from either Pandora or LastFM, I can't remember which. Now I listen to it over and over. Allmusic states that the album "is a lost treasure of mid-'80s U.K. indie pop" and I absolutely agree. The album really captures the same melancholy and lush atmosphere that bands like New Order and The Cure achieved along with similar detached the vocals of Pet Shop Boys or The Jesus and Mary Chain. My favorite songs are: "Furious Sea", "Torn Calendar" and "Pale Spectre".
