Wines I've Tried
Alright
Good
I didn't like this one and ended up dumping it down the sink
Pontificus blend - okay, nothing special
Trader Joe's Platinum Reserve Yountville Cabernet Sauvignon - okay but not better than the Reserve Cab which is cheaper and I think better
Liberte Cabernet Sauvignon - I really enjoyed this! Good stuff.
Phigment Red Wine Blend - excellent! it has hints of peaches and the price is only about $7
Trader Joe's Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 - very good, full-bodied and great price at $10
La Sonriente Garnacha - mediocre; it's similar to Javier San Pedro Tempanillo Rioja, which also has some spiciness at the end - I ended up dumping it down the sink
La Garenne 2016 Red Blend - not very good, I can't describe the taste except that it's a one note flavor and I ended up dumping the rest down the sink
Cotes du Rhone Caves du Fournalet 2018 - very good wine, easy to drink with a smooth finish
Consilience Syrah - This was alright but not great
Maison Barboulot Cabernet Syrah - Very good! It's smooth and tastes like vanilla.
Cotillion Pinot Noir - good, smooth, has some vanilla and light smoke that isn't overpowering
El Castilla Syrah - alright, I'm getting the black fruits and sweet spices like the labels notes but I would not call the end structured (whatever that means)
Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais - bad, tastes like cheap wine
Javier San Pedro Tempanillo Rioja - alright, would make a decent sangria but not something I would buy again
