Carly's salsa

 

3-4 large roma tomatoes

1 white or yellow onion

2 serrano chilis

2 garlic cloves

½ teaspoon cumin

½ teaspoon oregano

½ teaspoon black pepper

Salt to taste

2/3 cup water

2 tbs olive oil

 

-combine all of the ingredients in a blender

-heat the olive oil in a pan and add the blended mixture

-heat on medium until the color of the tomatoes turns from a white/red to a darker red salsa color about an hour to an hour and a half

                You just want a small boil to be going. Its done when the water burns off and it’s the thickness that you want. You can add more water if needed or if you make it too thick

-cool and taste, add more seasonings and salt if needed
